Hi! I’m Heather. I love Jesus, rely on Him as my Savior, and trust Him to direct my paths.
My goal for DIGGING INTO GOD is to help parents teach their children how to read and love the Bible.
I want to give you SIMPLE & PRACTICAL tools and ideas to fill the hearts and minds of our children with the Truth of God’s Word.

As a mom to four fantastic tween and teen children, there is nothing I want more than for them to love the Lord, serve Him, and discover and live out His purpose in their everyday lives.
Digging Into God was created in 2018 from a desire to teach my children how to prioritize their relationship with Jesus in age-appropriate ways.
I don't have a special degree to do this. In fact, I am probably as average as they come. But as a follower of Jesus, I believe He gives us parents the responsibility, the privilege, and the ability to disciple our children.
“We will not hide these truths
from our children;
we will tell the next generation
about the glorious deeds of the lord....”
(psalm 78:4)
Yes, our house is usually loud and messy. Yes, our schedule is busy with work, school, sports and even some theater thrown into the mix. My kids fight. I yell. We are definitely not perfect! Therefore I know we need a Savior, and that the most important thing I can instruct my children in is to:
“love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)

God tells us what is TRUE in the Bible and reveals to us who He is, who we are, and how we can be close to Him.
I’m on a mission to help kids connect with God through reading His Word. I want them to realize that they have a Heavenly Father who adores them and wants to speak to them. I want us as parents to let the seeds of God's Word be planted in the hearts of our children.
As one regular mom to another, I hope to encourage you by giving you super simple tools and ideas to help you disciple and guide your children into their own personal relationship with Jesus and His Truth.

to get the truth about what it means to be a Christian from the Word of God, not this ever-changing culture
to understand that they have been purposefully created and put on this earth by God, not by mistake
to enjoy a relationship with God, not because they are so good, but because they understand and trust that Jesus lived a perfect life for them, has bought their freedom, and removed their guilt
I long for my kids, and yours, to love the Lord their God with all their hearts, and love their neighbor as themselves.
